Job Description:

New Journey, a Genesis10 company, seeks a Client Loto Technician for a full-time position with our client. This position requires travel from Texas to the Dakotas.

Hours & Compensation:
--- Hours: 10-12 per day (project dependent)
--- Pay Rate: $31.00 -$35.00/hour, W2
--- Per Diem: $130/day

ABOUT THE ROLE:
--- All onshore wind
--- Troubleshooting and emergency repairs up-tower
--- Ensuring turbine functionality
--- Fixing issues as needed
--- Working in a crew

Key Responsibilities:
--- Participate in daily morning safety meetings to ensure a safe working environment
--- Conduct thorough inspections of equipment and tools for safe use
--- Engage in Job Safety Analysis to identify and mitigate potential hazards
--- Inspect the exterior and physical integrity of wind turbine towers
--- Climb towers to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain turbine equipment
--- Test electrical components and systems, along with mechanical and hydraulic systems
--- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical malfunctions
--- Service underground transmission systems, wind field substations, and fiber optic sensing and control systems
--- Replace worn or malfunctioning components as necessary
--- Follow maintenance manuals and standard operating procedures for wind turbine maintenance
--- Complete and validate written and electronic progress reports
--- Maintain a clean and organized work environment at the end of each day
--- Understand, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all mechanical, hydraulic, braking, and electrical systems of wind turbines
--- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
--- Manage a team of 2 techs

Travel & Transportation:
--- Boarding can be arranged by travel group
--- Techs have trucks and can drive to various locations

Qualifications & Certifications:
--- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required

Experience:o Minimum of one year of related maintenance experience
o At least one year of experience working around heavy equipment preferred

Certifications:
o Client LOTO Certification required
o GWO BST, BTT, and ART certificates are preferred
o Preventative Maintenance Client Lotto 2-week course in New York (lifelong certification)
--- Licensing: Valid driver's license with no major violations in the last five years

Skills and Attributes:
--- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
--- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
--- Team-driven attitude with the ability to work on a diverse team
--- Proficient in using technology apps and devices

Physical Requirements:
--- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights of at least 260 feet with tools and equipment
--- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
--- Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions
--- Capable of entering and exiting confined spaces to access mechanical parts
--- Must wear all required personal protective equipment
--- Flexibility to work beyond normal operating hours as determined by business demands
