JOB SUMMARY
Working in conjunction with the Director of Home Health and Hospice
Services, the Clinical Supervisor provides planning, direction,
organization, and leadership in the delivery of services within the
departments. Acts as a liaison between other hospital departments
and the medical staff to assure there is effective communication in
the planning of quality patient care. The Clinical Supervisor
practices within the framework of the Wyoming Nurse Practice Act,
the American Nurses Association professional standards and CMS
guidelines for Home Health and Hospice.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provides planning, direction, organization, and leadership in the
delivery of services within the departments.
Provides direction and facilitates development of department goals
and objectives.
Collaborates with Director in developing standards for clinical
practice.
Provides supervisory support and consultation to those who plan and
administer patient care.
Evaluates department's human resource needs, including recruitment
and retention of staff.
Responsible for interviewing, hiring, evaluating, and disciplinary
actions in conjunction with the Director.
Monitors department budgets and assists in developing strategies to
meet budgetary goals.
Develops marketing strategies.
Actively participates in hospital committees and FOCUS teams.
Develops and maintains productive working relationships with inter-
and intra-departmental personnel, medical staff, community,
patients, and family members.
Promotes service excellence.
Keeps abreast of current developments in patient care and provides
and coordinates in-service training of employees.
Evaluates patient care delivery systems and oversees the continuous
quality improvement efforts.
Attends Hospice IDT meetings.
Participates in Antibiotic Stewardship as needed.
Participates in Hospice Volunteer training.

below.
Must be free from governmental sanctions involving health care
and/or financial practices.
Complies with the hospital's Corporate Compliance Program
including, but not limited to, the Code of Conduct, laws and
regulations, and hospital policies and procedures.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Licensure
Current RN license in the state of Wyoming.
Experience
2 years' experience in Home Health and/or Hospice Nursing.
Certifications required
See Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification Policy and
Certifications/Education Requirements Policy.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to develop and support teamwork.
Excellent interpersonal relationship skills needed to work with
staff, physicians, patients, and families.
Demonstrates the ability to function under stress and in difficult,
multi-priority situations while meeting all required deadlines.
Exercises effective use of problem solving, conflict management and
team building skills to foster effective work relationships within
Patient Access and CCH.
The ability to demonstrate knowledge of developmental stages and
apply developmental theories/concepts when planning and
implementing care for the appropriate age of the patient. Ability
to maintain the appropriate level of knowledge and skills.
