Fiber Construction Manager Visionary Broadband seeks a qualified individual to fulfill the role of Fiber Construction Manager. This full-time, salaried position will join the Fiber team at Visionary Broadband, a division of Visionary Communications, Inc., one of the top service providers in the region. The position will be located in Gillette(or Northeast WY). Job Overview:We are seeking a hands-on Fiber Construction Manager who thrives in the field, ensuring that projects are executed with precision and quality. The ideal candidate will lead by example, spending time on-site to oversee the construction of fiber optic networks. This role requires a proactive manager who is committed to delivering projects on time, within budget, and at the highest quality standards. A "boots on the ground" approach is essential to ensuring the success of our fiber construction efforts. Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage fiber optic construction projects, ensuring quality and timely delivery.Maintain a strong on-site presence to directly oversee daily operations, troubleshoot issues, and provide real-time direction to field crews.Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, coordinating closely with project management and field teams.Foster a collaborative work environment, ensuring field crews and subcontractors are aligned with project goals.Ensure all construction activities comply with safety standards, quality expectations, and industry regulations.Conduct frequent site visits to verify work progress, ensure compliance with specifications, and uphold quality control standards.Manage materials, equipment, and resources on-site to maintain project efficiency and minimize downtime.Act as the primary point of contact between field operations and stakeholders, addressing concerns and providing updates.Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, photos.Ensure that invoiced amounts accurately reflect on-site progress and completed work.Survey fiber backbone or zone using Juniper Systems rugged tablet and GPS to accurately document the location of our fiber infrastructure, whether underground or aerial.Use Vetro Mobile to make real-time design adjustments in the field as needed during on-site operations. Qualifications:A qualified candidate must possess the following skills, or have equivalent experience and/or qualifications:3+ years of Construction Management experience, preferably in the fiber or telecommunications industry. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Excellent organizational skills and must be detail oriented.Great knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, as well as ability to quickly learn and work within proprietary computer applications.Flexibility to work outside of standard 8am-5pm hours and be willing to travel on a limited basis. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with demonstrated problem solving abilitiesPhysical Requirements:This position requires sitting to complete work with a computer using a variety of software applications and telephone.15%+ / - of the time will be spent walking and standing in the field with various weather conditions, as well as occasional lifting and / or carrying and / or pushing / pulling of items less than 25lbs.
